Review for April Canavan's Path to the Key

Magic, Vampires and Sex. Who could ask for anything more?
The Destruction of Magic is an ongoing series, but every book has a HEA and no cliffhangers!

Magic is fading throughout the world and the supernatural realms can feel the strain growing daily, but Sarah doesn’t care about any of that. She cares about protecting her son from her vampiric ex-husband who is obsessed with gaining power. She’ll stop at nothing to ensure that Alex doesn’t get his hands on Jackson, even if it means welcoming more vampires and other supernatural beings into her life.

Their journey takes her across the country, seeking the help of a witch that has invaded her son’s dreams. A vampire named Zander threatens to bring all of her carefully constructed walls crashing down. He's sexy and sweet, and knows exactly what she wants in bed.

She’ll break every rule and every preconceived notion they have about her, as long as she can save her son and give him the future that was stolen from her. Sarah’s path connects to the very battle that she tries to avoid, and when she embraces not only her growing power, but also her destiny- she might be able to escape with her life.

About the Destruction of Magic Series:
Magic is failing. Every court is suffering. Only by working together can they hope to save not only themselves, but the entire world as well. Friend becomes foe and enemies form unlikely alliances in a series focused not only on each character finding their happy ending but also on the underlying survival of all magic.

Praise for Path to the Key
“Path to the Key by April Canavan is book one to an amazing series. Full of magic, supernatural beings and romance. I love the war between the good and the evil. Fight to save loved ones. Family, power, and determination. April Canavan's writing is superb. I was lost instantly from the first page. Engaging, well-developed, and exciting. A war brewing. One involving power and ruling over others. A woman whose child is key to her evil husband's game. Yet there's another man, the brother, who can help save them. Path to the Key was entertaining. Easy to follow along. I loved it. Couldn't stop reading it. Overall, I highly recommend it to readers everywhere.”- Amazon Review

“Sarah, Zander, Jack and Winter sucked me into their story and I didn't want to put it down. Anyone who's into vampires and other magical beings will love this book. Anyone who isn't into those things should still check it out. I'm a picky reader, and I loved it!”- Amazon Review

“Excellent read! I highly recommend this book if you are in to the paranormal. April Canavan captures your imagination and takes you on a flying carpet ride from the beginning to the very end. She introduces you the the characters and gives you the inside scoop to where you keep reading just so you can find out what happens next. You can't put it down till the very end and then she keeps you wanting more.”- Amazon Review

Shawna's Review

Path to the Key is the first book in the Destruction of Magic series by April Canavan.  This was a really good book I enjoyed reading it.  All the characters of a great specially the four main characters I really like them a lot.  The author does a great job  bringing you into her  paranormal world and keeping you interested through the entire book. There were a few instances where information popped up and i wondered why they didn't mention it before but other than that it was an awesome book and I can't wait for the next one.

4.5 out of 5 stars
